Featured Cajun Artist – Red Stick Ramblers

A unique blend of Rock-a-billy, country, and Cajun, Red Stick Ramblers are creating a new blend of music… and it’s very cool. Recognized by the likes of Billboard Magazine, CMT, and other respected album review sources, it looks like The Red Stick Ramblers are well on their way. Their new album, My Suitcase is Always Packed just came out in 2009 and I highly recommend that you have a listen. My personal favorite is “I’m Drinking To You”, a nice country two step, with a hint of “Cadien.”
The Ramblers have a pretty impressive tour schedule lined up for the fall. Florida, North Carolina, and ahemmm… Ireland. Isn’t it great to see the Europeans embracing Cajun music?
