Featured Cajun Artist – Red Stick Ramblers

Sep 27th, 2009 | By admin | Category: Music

red-stick-ramblersA unique blend of Rock-a-billy, country, and Cajun, Red Stick Ramblers are creating a new blend of music… and it’s very cool. Recognized by the likes of Billboard Magazine, CMT, and other respected album review sources, it looks like The Red Stick Ramblers are well on their way. Their new album, My Suitcase is Always Packed just came out in 2009 and I highly recommend that you have a listen. My personal favorite is “I’m Drinking To You”, a nice country two step, with a hint of “Cadien.”

The Ramblers have a pretty impressive tour schedule lined up for the fall. Florida, North Carolina, and ahemmm… Ireland. Isn’t it great to see the Europeans embracing Cajun music? Hey guys, have a few beers for me and say hi to Arthur while you’re there. For more information, please visit their website at www.redstickramblers.com.

  1. My grandfather, Cheese Read, would have enjoyed the Ramblers’ music. And that they honor their Cajun roots.

It’s nice to find a blog that presents Cajun culture in a positive way. Outside of recipe sites, it’s a rare find.

  2. bong da. I¡¦m now not positive the place you are getting your information, but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning much more or working out more. Thank you for wonderful info I was in search of this info for my mission.
