Mark your calendars… It’s Mardi Gras time again. Time for parades, parties, and a lot of fun. Time to get all the craziness out of your system before Lent roles around. Although February 23‘rd is Fat Tuesday, the parades have already started in many locations throughout cajun country (and in New Orleans, too . Make sure to get out there with the family, the fish net, the bar-b-que pit, and the cooler and enjoy the mardi gras season.

Mardi Gras in Mamou

OK, New Orleans gets the honorary title of being the Mardi Gras capital of the world. Fair enough. The parades are big. The floats are beautiful. And if you like crowds… well they just don’t get any bigger than Endymion. All good, if that’s your bag. If you’re cajun however, chances are you’ll skip the fanfare and head to Mamou, LA to celebrate a cajun Mardi Gras the way the cajun french do it.
