Artist Spotlight – Floyd Sonnier
Jan 16th, 2009 | By admin | Category: Art
Floyd Sonnier captures the spirit of cajun culture in his wonderful charcoal based artwork.
Much like Norman Rockwell, he captures the spirit of the culture, capturing a glimpse in the life of his subjects. As I look at his sketchings, I’m drawn into the moment, asking myself what was in the mind of the person being sketched… what was his/her life like… who did this person love, and who loved them… I am pulled into a completely different world. Quite refreshing. His amazing works can be seen at www.floydsonnier.com or check out Floyd’s book at Amazon.com.
