Blues music, one of the purest, most raw forms of music has penetrated the hearts and souls of listeners since its origins, or at least since the first recording of George W. Johnson’s “Laughing Song” in 1895. Over 100 years later, the art form is still alive and can be heard around the world. On Sunday February 15, 2009 The 3rd Annual Lafayette Blues Festival promises to bring to the Cajun Dome stage some of the art forms living legends. It’s sure to be a treat.

World-class blues entertainers Bobby Blue Bland, Willie Clayton, Sir Charles Jones, Bobby Rush, Shirley Brown, Floyd Taylor and Jeff Floyd will all share the Cajun Dome stage!
